Since switching to common core, I have noticed students continue to struggle with answering/bubbling grid in response questions correctly. This 11 page packet reviews all of the 6th grade common core strands while also helping students practice using grid-in response grids.
The first two pages go over the basics of grid-in response and has students practice just bubbling in numbers (including fractions, decimals, and negatives). The other nine pages include 64 grid-in practice problems, spiraling the entire 6th grade curriculum.
This is a great way to review for the end of year tests and allow students the practice they need using the common core grids.
It can be used as homework, warm up, or classwork to review for the standardized test. I used it for the few weeks prior to testing, and had students complete one page a day (about 8 problems). Students were able to review for their test and practice gridding in without being overwhelmed with too many problems at once.
This could also be a great resource to use in 7th and 8th grade to review concepts!
