Students will learn to draw freehand with ruler and protractor, and with technology geometric shapes with given conditions. They will also be able to construct triangles from three measures of angles or sides, noticing when the conditions determine a unique triangle, 2 triangles or no triangle. Each concept is very thoroughly demonstrated and then students receive a similar problem to use as guided practice. This lesson covers Common Core 7th Grade Math 7.G2. There is a title slide, focus slide, objective, essential question, step-by-step demonstrations, guided practice, checking for understanding, problem solving with word problems, and a reward slide at the end. For best results, students should have white boards and dry erase markers.
