This board used the Common Core literature standards as a basis for student choice when reading. Students can choose any of the options and each option is differentiated for easy, medium, or hard ways of meeting the standard. On this board, the easy, medium, and hard roughly represent levels of the standard. Easy might be approximately below grade level, medium closer to on grade level, and hard exceeding the standard.
There is an option in the middle for the student to come up with a creative way to discuss the day's reading. This would be up to your discretion.
