Product Description
Annotating = success in comprehension. All of our students in grade 3 - 8 need to be proficient at annotating both fiction and non-fiction passages to be successful in the new Common Core standards. Correctly being able to annotate passages, allows students to interact with text in a meaningful way. It is also valuable to students allowing them to use their own notes to help answer questions and respond to writing prompts. This poster can be printed and available to students as they learn how to annotate, including how to correctly write the gist. Many students need specific guidance in writing gists, because some include too much, and some don't write specifically enough. This poster helps everyone be successful! I hope you find this as valuable with your students as I do with mine.
