My district has adopted both the Common Core and the Danielson Framework for our evaluations and instruction. This lesson plan maker was created in Word 2010, and it uses extensive drop-down menus for fast listing of all Common Core Literacy Standards and New York's Visual Arts Standards.
Grades k-12 are all present!
Included are areas covering:
Key Ideas and Details
Craft and Structure
Integration of Knowledge and Ideas
Standard 1: Creating, Performing and Participating in the Arts
Students will actively engage in the processes that constitute creation and performance in the arts
(dance, music, theatre, and visual arts) and participate in various roles in the arts.
Standard 2: Knowing and Using Arts Materials and Resources
Students will be knowledgeable about and make use of the materials and resources available for
participation in the arts in various roles.
Standard 3: Responding to and Analyzing Works of Art
Students will respond critically to a variety of works in the arts, connecting the individual work to
other works and to other aspects of human endeavor and thought.
Standard 4: Understanding the Cultural Dimensions and Contributions of the Arts
Each area has every standard for visual arts up to graduation.
The plans I have created are unique in that they are fluid, reader friendly, quick to customize, and show every area of a teacher's own evaluation according to the Danielson Framework.
When a person comes into your classroom to evaluate you, the plans will show evidence of every category that is a part of the evaluation process. The plans are also comprehensive for students' understanding. One may use the plans as assignment sheets for students to answer questions, write assignments, and comprehend what has happened in the classroom. I use them as a daily syllabus for students that have missed classes.
This is by far my favorite lesson plan maker so far. It really shows where the Common Core has its limits and needs. I am so grateful for the request made to me for its creation.
As with all my lesson plans and lesson plan makers, this lesson plan template and creator will be updated when changes and additions are made to the standards and requested by users. Each update is free, as I think they all are on Teacherspayteachers.
Have fun using this.
