Children love dinosaurs and they will love this game. Children will be able to sort and identify 2 and 3 syllable words.
This activity is perfect for individual children, literacy stations or small groups. Print off multiple copies for your whole class. It is appropriate for 1-3rd grade & RTI.
Materials you will need:
Syllable Push cards
Print and cut out word cards and syllable push cards. I like to print on cardstock and laminate for more durability. Put a dinosaur counter on each line. Have child choose a word card and say word, then move a dinosaur counter into a box for each syllable heard. You can find dinosaur counters at a teacher store or dollar store. You can also use any other type of counter that you have if dinosaur counters are unavailable to you.
