Conscientious teachers have always been data driven! We have always reviewed student work whether it was formative or summative. We have always identified student strengths and weaknesses, reviewed the content and altered our instructional practices to meet the needs of students. At Gateway to 21, we believe the process today is different; it needs to be more precise and systematic.
After you have implemented our Common Core ELA Interim Assessments, Student Surveys and Inventories. Utilize our Data Analysis Sheets or Team Meeting Plans to help interpret your student data. Follow the guiding questions embedded in the documents, and both you and your students can set goals aligned to learning targets (i.e. common core standards) and create Action Plans. Our resources are aligned to Response to Intervention and will help you be more precise and systematic in your approach.
