Common Core Folder Labels - ELA Standards Grades 9 - 10
Organize your classroom resources for Common Core with file folder labels for each ELA standard.
The text of these standards is a student-friendly adaptation of the Common Core State Standards for English Language Arts. I have simplified the text in some standards and broken standards into two or more entries when I felt a given standard was more than could be addressed in a single lesson. You may not want a separate folder for each entry; you can always combine those standards by placing multiple labels on the front of a folder.
Based on a fabulous suggestion from a colleague, I have added a set of labels to be printed with a full page for each standard (30 copies). These are small enough to add to a worksheet that you will duplicate for students, or print enough copies to have students stick them in their interactive notebooks.
This file contains standards for all five ELA strands (Reading Literature, Reading Informational Text, Writing, Speaking & Listening, and Language) for grades 9 and 10.
Included in this zipped folder are three PDF files: one with the standards text ready to print on "nametag" labels, one with the standards numbers ready to print on 1/3 cut file folder tab labels, and a full-page of each standards on "address" labels.
Use Avery® 5395 or a compatible label to print the text of the standards.
Use Avery® 5366 or a compatible label to print the standard number for the file tab.
Use Avery® 5160 or a compatible label to print the student copies of the standards.
