This 25 page packet contains 5 unique passages with questions and answer keys for each. It also includes a study guide that helps students identify each of the 4 text structures listed in the standard. There is one passage and set of questions for each text structure listed in the “e.g.,” of the standard and one passage that fits the standard wording for “part of a text.” Every answer is a short answer or extended response. There are no multiple choice items. Also included is a form that students can use for any informational text to help them determine the text structure. This form can be used as daily practice, homework, or as formative assessments throughout the year.
