The vocabulary unit presents five Greek and Latin word parts each week, for twenty-four weeks (Week 4, Greek and Latin numbers, has 13). After twelve weeks there is a test, with all previous word parts. So in all, there are twenty-six weeks of vocabulary, if all aspects of this unit are used.
Each quiz has twenty selected response questions (except for Week 4 numbers, which has 30). Also, each quiz has a corresponding Power Point presentation. The quizzes recycle previously learned word parts, to keep them fresh, so I advise using these in order. Pictures are on each slide, and may help some learners if they sketch the picture with their notes.
The tests and self-review packets are derived directly from the quizzes.
I have taught vocabulary this way for years. The first day of the week I present the notes. Homework is collected (their is a slide each week that gives directives) and a quiz is given each Friday. I used this for my SLO this year :)
