This Common Core Kindergarten Math Review: Geometry will provide all Kindergarten teachers with a quick, effective assessment of their Kindergarten students' math skills. Students will name and draw these shapes: circles, squares, triangles, rectangles, hexagons, cubes, cones, cylinders, and spheres by using the provided mini-poster of these shapes. Students will identify these shapes as 2-Dimensional or 3-Dimensional as well as find objects in "their world" that have these particular shapes. Students will then write about or draw these objects with these shapes, naming the shape it resembles and telling the location of the object --- is it above, towards the ceiling or below, towards the floor. Finally, students will identify which of the shapes have a certain number of "corners" or vertices. These are the various skills that will be practiced in this particular review in order to practice the concepts of Geometry. A quick assessment to use on any day of the week!
