Common Core Language Arts Writing Prompts
Product Description
These middle school writing prompts are presented with bright colors and engaging clip art. They are perfect for practicing writing for a wide range of writing tasks. The tasks include writing arguments, narratives, and informative/explanatory texts to examine topics and convey ideas. The Common Core English Writing Standards for Middle School suggest that students write for a range of discipline-specific tasks, purposes, and audiences. I have included emails, speeches, articles, narrative, editorials, letters, and stories. Some writing prompts even give students a choice between two different questions. There are 25 different writing prompts.
You are getting a compressed zip file containing the PowerPoint and a regular Microsoft Word Document of the prompts in case you want to print them for your students. When you download a zip file, you should save it onto your desktop, then right click on the file and hit extract all. This allows you to save the documents in any location on your computer.
