My district has adopted both the Common Core and the Danielson Framework for our evaluations and instruction. This lesson plan template includes a Common Core standard for use in Special Education. Literacy is the focus of this lesson plan template, though it is easily modifiable.
Included are areas and examples for:
Activities: Pacing and Sequence
Checking for Understanding During Activities
Question Types for Checking Understanding
Possible Misconceptions of Directions
Proactive Lesson Adjustments
The plans I have created are unique in that they are fluid, reader friendly, quick to customize, and show every area of a teacher's own evaluation according to the Danielson Framework. They are also very manageable: "Everything Should Be Made as Simple as Possible, But Not Simpler." I very much believe in that quote by Einstein.
When a person comes into your classroom to evaluate you, the plans will show evidence of every category that is a part of the evaluation process. The plans are also comprehensive for students' understanding. One may use the plans as assignment sheets for students to answer questions, write assignments, and comprehend what has happened in the classroom. I use them as a daily syllabus for students that have missed classes.
