Why Should I Start Using Literature Circles In My Classroom?
Literature circles are a wonderful way to exercise student reading comprehension skills, writing skills, and speaking skills while reading a novel as a whole class. Literature circles also boost confidence, creativity and collaboration among students when implemented effectively.
High engagement is maintained as students are expected to complete a different job each day of the week and have the option to complete enrichment projects if they produce a high-quality product before share out time. Every day, students have the opportunity to share and display their hard work and deep thinking as they attempt to challenge their classmates during share out time.
Differentiation is a breeze with this system as all jobs and enrichment projects lead students to demonstrate their unique skills and knowledge.
