This product is one that I use regularly with my students to build composition fluency. We use the slides to find different ways to make a sets of given numbers 6 - 9. Each number is shown 10 different ways to give your students minds practice at seeing how different arrangements can make the same amount. I display one slide and ask students to think about how they can see the given number in two groups. Then one student is called on to share their idea. The class then all say together how the number was made. For example: "I see 3 here and 4 here. 3 and 4 make 7." Great brain warm-up for math lessons or to use before math stations.
