This activity was created for middle school math stations on functions. It is brief (two pages), but will give your students the opportunity to each rotate a variety of 2-D figures using a unique rotation. This way when they ask each other for help, it cannot be, “What’s the answer to number one?” but rather, “Can you explain how to do number one?” The conversations and explanations that arise are great.
Look out for this activity and many others in my eight grade bundles at a deep discount!!! Coming Soon!

Verify experimentally the properties of rotations, reflections, and translations:
Lines are taken to lines, and line segments to line segments of the same length.
Angles are taken to angles of the same measure.
Parallel lines are taken to parallel lines.
