I created this Triangler Puzzle game for common core math stations.The focus is on solving linear equations (including combining like terms, distributive property, equations with a unique solution, no solution, or infinite solutions).
It is great for stations as it can be easily differentiated. For a lower level group, exclude the bottom row of the puzzle. I prepare both versions so that I can swap them out as groups are rotating. Laminate the puzzle pages and cut out the puzzle pieces. An answer key is included. I print one to keep on hand while students work. I laminate the included student directions to keep at the station.
My station rotations are in groups of four. I like to use this as a group station. That is, when the group gets to this station, they all work together to assemble the puzzle. The discussions that arise are awesome. You could also have the students work individually or in partner pairs. You would just need to print multiple versions of the puzzle. Doing so on different colored sheets of paper will make it easy to keep in order. I prefer card-stock for the weight and feel, but plain copy paper works, too.

Solve linear equations in one variable.
Give examples of linear equations in one variable with one solution, infinitely many solutions, or no solutions. Show which of these possibilities is the case by successively transforming the given equation into simpler forms, until an equivalent equation of the form x = a, a = a, or a = b results (where a and b are different numbers).
Solve linear equations with rational number coefficients, including equations whose solutions require expanding expressions using the distributive property and collecting like terms.
