This file contains a unit 1 title page with a standards reference, a poster with specific I can statements for each piece of the standards, formatives for each category within the unit (two versions: one for all students and one for after intervention with strugglers), a summative unit test (two versions), and a unit check off spreadsheet to see all standards within the unit for each child. I use the summative to fill in the check off sheet then create learning groups for intervention. Once intervention has taken place, I then retest with form B.
This is an excellent way to use data to show both growth and standard mastery! Perfect for the standards based report card...no guessing here. I however still need grades so I simply grade them and if a student retakes, I will replace the score with a note of their initial score. You will notice that I have included the perimeter standard in unit one in order to achieve mastery before we reach area. This is a huge mix up with students and is best to teach perimeter with addition to minimize confusion.
