Activity Sheets - 7 activity sheets: one reviews correct and incorrect ways to measure, 3 ask students to measure items around the classroom, 3 have students measure length to solve problems
Center/Cooperative Group Activity - Students measure ribbons and record the length on a chart. (Includes 10 printable “ribbons,” recording sheet, and answer key You may choose to provide real ribbons to students.)
TWO Assessments with Answer Keys - Assessment 1 utilizes a short answer format; Assessment 2 uses multiple choice.
Homework Sheet - Includes questions for Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. Prints on one sheet to save paper.
Common Core Standard: CCSS.Math.Content.1.MD.A.2 Express the length of an object as a whole number of length units, by laying multiple copies of a shorter object (the length unit) end to end; understand that the length measurement of an object is the number of same-size length units that span it with no gaps or overlaps. Limit to contexts where the object being measured is spanned by a whole number of length units with no gaps or overlaps.
