This printable worksheet allows students in middle school to practice the above Common Core standard. Students read a three-paragraph text on violins that contains examples of figurative language, good and bad connotation, and technical terms relating to violins. This is followed by a set of eleven questions asking students to analyze the figurative language, connotation, and technical meanings from the text. Please see the Preview of the text used.
