There are many new and challenging skills in the ELA Common Core. Helping students "think visually" is the key to helping them be successful.
These three graphic organizers will allow students to organize textual evidence to write a summary, to compare and contrast settings, characters or events and to compare information from two different texts. The simple layout and color coding will help the student to see "what goes where."
Use with Common Core lessons RL 2 - summarizing and RL 3 - comparing characters, settings or events with evidence from the text. From Terry Mullenax.
