This reading progress report is designed to explain a student's reading strengths and areas of need during parent conferences. It reflects the structure of the "The Sisters" CAFE goals and strategies. It is an excellent tool to use for planning instruction after assessing with a running record or the DRA2. Teachers can talk specifically about a student's independent and instructional guided reading levels. In the comment section they can identify the reading goal and strategy a student has worked on most recently. The template outlines the basic areas of reading comprehension, accuracy, fluency and expanding vocabulary. It also has embedded charts for identifying individual progress in each area. It is both user friendly for teachers and easily understandable for parents.
