In this activity, students are given 8 rotation problems that they must work out, Then, students must find the answer from the list of choices, cut the correct answer out, and glue it down. There are some “bogus” answer choices that will not be used. Students enjoy doing something different than a normal worksheet and it is more hands-on.
Each problem requires the student to rotate a triangle or quadrilateral around a fixed point other than the origin in 90 degree increments and then give the new coordinates.
Materials required for each student: glue, scissors, copy of the answer sheet, and copy of the answer choices.
