~Common Core Sight Word Lists~*
*Please keep in mind that these were taken from the common core website and are associated with the CCSS for South Carolina. Please be sure to verify that these correlate with your state curriculum standards before purchasing. Overall, these words seem to be appropriate for all states using the CCSS, but please verify either way.*
These sight words lists are appropriate for kindergarten and first grade aged students. They are ideal to place inside a practice folder, writing folder, or homework folder.
(For my students, I use a daily practice folder that they are to practice each night. Based on beginning of the year assessments, the corresponding grid will be placed in their folder for them to read each night with their parent. After they learn the grid in their folder, they move onto the next and so on and so forth.)
This file contains the high frequency sight words and the noun lists that accompany the high frequency lists for each nine weeks. There are four grids for kindergarten and four grids for first grade (one for each nine weeks). This file also contains two certificates to give to students who know all kindergarten sight words and those who can read all first grade sight words.
