Why is a high school teacher making posters for first grade ELA and math?
In 2011, I made posters for the Common Core Standards as a favor for my daughter's godmother, who teaches fifth grade. The posters were a hit in her classroom and school. Soon, teachers of other grades asked if I would make posters for their grade level. I was happy to oblige. As time went on, it became a hobby and labor of love. I've made a lot of revisions to the posters along the way, always trying to make them as good as possible. I really get a kick out of making an illustration that explains and clarifies the standard. I love mining the internet and clip art collections for art that will appeal to elementary school kids. I've had a lot of fun making these posters through the years. I hope you like 'em! If you ever have suggestions or feedback, feel free to contact me through the email address that is in the bundle.
