These Common Core Standards posters for third grade math are unique because the illustrations are cute but not babyish - just right for the academic superstars in your 3rd grade classroom. You'll find a large variety of artistic styles to keep these posters looking fresh and interesting year after year.
In addition to all the illustrated standards posters, there are THIRTY(!) themes to choose from so you can display these posters in a way that matches your classroom theme or color scheme. The themes include title sheets that say "Common Core Standards" and "Math Standard." In the purchased product, you will find themes for apples, owls, bees, rock stars, outer space, beach, monsters, ladybugs, detectives, Western, squirrels, pirates, polka dots, stars, and a variety of scrapbook letttering styles.Note: using a theme is optional - the posters that have the standard on them are stand-alone. The headings that say "Common Core Standards" and "math Standard" are themed.
But that's not all! These posters have a unique borderless design that leaves room for BIGGER text and pictures. Also, I found a way to use the middle part of the paper, a part that is usually wasted on borders and the inch or more of space that they take up. Altogether, these design changes mean that by buying these posters, you will get more out of your printer, paper, and limited wall space! But don't take my word for it! Download the preview file for a closer look.
Everything in this bundle can be printed on letter size (8.5" x 11") paper. No complicated cutting is required. To save paper, there are two posters on each page. You just have to cut one time down the middle of the page to separate the posters.
These common core posters can be printed, laminated, cut, and used for years and years! Buy once, use forever!

Why is a high school ELA and art teacher making posters for third grade math?
I started making posters for the Common Core in 2011 as a favor for my daughter's godmother, a fifth grade teacher. In the past I've worked as a graphic artist so it seemed like a good use of my skills and the software on my computer. The posters were a hit! Teachers from other grades asked if I would make posters for their grade level and I was happy to oblige. As time went on, it became a hobby and labor of love. I've made a lot of revisions to the posters along the way, always pushing to make them as good as possible. I really strive to make an illustration that explains and clarifies the standard, and I love mining the internet and clip art collections to find art that will appeal to elementary school kids. I've had a lot of fun making these posters through the years. I hope you like 'em! If you ever have suggestions or feedback, feel free to contact me through my blog
, TpT or the email address that is in the bundle.
