Children love to play dice games and this is great for learning words with a turtle syllable. A turtle syllable is a consonant plus an “l” and a silent “e” (ble, cle, dle, fle, gle, ple, stle, tle).
This is a great independent game or with a partner in a Center or you can make multiple copies for your whole class. It is appropriate for 1st, 2nd, 3rd & RTI.
Place a card face down in each of the boxes with a die in it.
Roll a die, pick the card from the box with the same number as what you rolled. Say the word. If you say the word correctly then keep it and replace with a new card. Continue until all cards have been played or as time allows.
