Children read interesting vignettes about Calder, determine the essential details and numbers, problem-solve, and show their work in figuring out the solution Two differentiated levels and a detailed lesson plan are provided. Children’s artwork is added to demonstrate reading comprehension. Your students will learn about this great artist while enhancing their abilities to pull out important information from a text and to apply problem-solving strategies.
