Great CCSS Lessons!
I include an original NONFICTION text on MLK, for use, to take notes from .
I include Bloom's Taxonomy Questions pertaining to the MLK piece.
A few lessons linked to Common Core:
*Determine the main idea
*Refer to details and examples in a text
you will find the standards to post on your wall, with the students' summaries.
I added a page for students to use for the summary.
You will find an example summary of the MLK piece, to show students what it should look like, after they are done,or before you teach the lesson.
You get a writing rubric, with space to write examples or notes into the squares.
This piece can also be used to create an Opinion piece, which is also in the CC.
Lastly, it can be used to Compare and Contrast MLK and Rosa Parks...a lesson I enjoy doing with the students.
