I have found that BINGO is a great way to get students engaged. This is a lab equipment BINGO game. Students cut out the pictures of equipment and glue them randomly on to their board. It works best if you time this process so that students don't take forever cutting and gluing.
I have also included teacher cards that have the function of each of the pieces of lab equipment featured. Students could also use these cards to play a matching game where they are matching the function to the picture of the lab equipment. I use these cards by pulling one function and reading it aloud. The students then mark that piece of equipment on their board. The winner wins by having 5 lab equipment pictures in a row.
