This is a Halloween and Grammar activity I used after I read aloud Arthur's Halloween. The words in the word sort is from the story Arthur's Halloween. Students have to identify which word is a common and proper noun. All the words are lower case, which make it harder to identify. Then, students must use their editing marks to correct the Proper Noun. After that, students can cut and paste the nouns into the correct category, common noun or proper noun. This could be used in a Halloween Station, a grammar station, or whole group.
