Common and Proper Nouns Worksheet and Craftivity for Halloween

This engaging, activity puts a fun spin on identifying the nouns in a sentence, and then determining whether each one is a common noun or a proper noun. This print-and-go activity makes a creative bulletin board or school hallway display for October around the time of Halloween!

• Worksheet- Students begin by completing a worksheet where they practice two skills. First, they identify the nouns in the sentence by underlining them. Then they label each noun as common or proper.

• Activity- Students choose 8 common nouns and 8 proper nouns from their worksheet and rewrite them on the craftivity images. Next, students color and cut out the images and glue them onto a sheet of construction paper.

Student-friendly directions are included so that you can place the directions under your document camera, and students can refer to them as they complete the project. An answer key and preparation instructions for the teacher are also included.
