Powerpoint that presents 10 pairs of words which are often confused in speech and writing. Word pairs are: flagrant-fragrant, sympathy-symphony, sculptor-sculpture, static-statistic, recent-resent, appalling-appealing, empire-umpire, partition-petition, precede-proceed, persecute-prosecute. Students are provided with two sentences for each pair of words. students choose which word belongs in each sentence.
