Product Description
Let's include some language during arts and crafts! Use this visual communication board to help your students ask for items during art. It is set up so that they can use anything from a single word to a full phrase, depending on their communication level. The visual is separated into two sections. The top section includes items which come in different colors so that students can also add a color into their request to make a longer phrase; for example, I want blue paint.

When I first use communication boards, I point to each picture as I say the word, as a model. For students who are working on developing sentence length, I have them imitate me. For students who are non-verbal, I teach them to point to each picture, and as they point I say the word for them.

The size of the board is created so that you can place it into a 3-ring binder - just laminate and poke holes and you're ready to go!

If you find this board useful for your students, browse through my other communication boards, as they are all part of a series!
