Parent communication is a vital component in building a relationship between school and home. Informing parents about their child's day is one way to start this communication, but it can be so time consuming to mark something for each student every day. This calendar provides a quick and easy way to inform parents on their child's behavior for the day using a color coded system. This private behavior calendar still holds students accountable for choices made - yet keeps the discussion between the student, teacher and parents.
By using specific colors, teachers inform parents on different behaviors observed during the school day using the color code at the bottom of each month to inform parents about their child's choices that day. Behavior is stated positively in the color coded area - giving parents information on their child's specific actions - while the calendar boxes still provide ample space to write a note if needed. :)
