For students who need additional practice making sentences in their communication systems or for speech therapy practice, beyond what they get in natural contexts, this resource goes beyond phrases to complete basic sentences.
Here is another resource in my Communication Symbol Phrases series. This time with a focus on descriptive phrases (for Valentine’s Day or any day).
The first items start off with only using descriptive phrases for colors and designs (i.e. striped). Then the items become more difficult, identifying where those specific colored/designed hearts are.
Note that in this case, I do focus on the “a/the (noun) is” type of format, which is different from my usual focus on core words/pronouns.
Use these in intervention, as task cards, in literacy centers, or even as game cards.
