Product Description
Teacher can project the last page showing BoardMaker (BM) icons to cue taking turns.
Student will choose a friend (can point if nonverbal, use AAC device, or peer's name written on a card) and ask "What is your favorite...?" If nonverbal, after student has selected peer, teacher can ask "(Name) X wants to know what is your favorite..."(student points to word at top of worksheet. Peer is prompted with BM icons for speaking to say, "I like ..." To expand on turn-taking, peer can say, "That's cool!" or "Me too!" Note: AAC devices can be used to select peer and ask questions, if programmed with applicable words. For the music section, teacher can play samples of various types of music and students can then determine what is their favorite type of music. Activity can be used repetitively to reinforce through continued practice and as they build greater independence from teacher prompts/cues to ask a peer about a personally favorite item.
