Communities:: If you are studying communities, this might be a visual you can use to help your students understand. I created it to help students see that they belong to many different types of communities, some much larger than others. It takes students from looking at themselves (being the center of the circle) all the way to the planet (being the largest/outside community).
I have included a couple of different versions so you can use them in different ways:
1) For Georgia residents .. (I am from GA)....Colored/black and white versions for using the state of Georgia and the United States (images of GA outline as well as US flag)
2) If you are not in the US or GA, I have included a version with those to things left off, so you can just write in your own state and country.
3) I also included a mini version if you want them to glue it in their interactive notebooks.
**The colored version you might want to use as a visual you project on a screen, while the black/white version, you could have the students color in each ring of the circle as you discuss each type of community and how they relate to each other.
**For the image in the middle, the students can sketch themselves or bring in a picture to glue in the center.
Hope you can use, and thank you for your support. :-)
