This unit can be used with any book about Communities or Neighborhoods. There are also whole group activities to use with the book Messenger, Messenger by Chris Robert Burleigh. The activities are focused on delivery workers and community buildings (places in communities, not workers).
All of the graphics for the Literacy Centers are community buildings.
Included are many whole group lessons and ideas, student writing activities and literacy activities to help increase rigor! It is aligned with the Common Core Standards.
