This set of flippy books contains 4 different books- one for each- rural, urban, suburban communities and a fourth which contains information and activities for all three communities.
Each flippy book gives information about each community as well as an opportunity for students to write about the community. The rural, urban, and suburban flippy books ask students to tell sounds from each community, which is an interesting way for them to think about the differences between the three communities!
To assemble the flippy books, just copy, fold "hotdog style" and then again "hamburger style" to have a little four page booklet for each student!
Most flippy books are appropriate for students in 1st/2nd grade. These are a little heavy on reading and may be challenging for 1st graders... but you could definitely complete them together or in pairs!
