This set of tracer cards work great with a community helper themed unit for prewriting learners. They are dual purpose and can be used for either tracing or cutting fine motor practice! This activity can be added into morning work boxes, art centers, independent and partner activities, or a fun way to do assessments! We like to tell the kids when cutting to be sure not to cut the helper in order to help with precision :)
This set includes 12 cards each with a unique tracing or cutting pattern - vertical, horizontal, diagonal, squares, crescents, ovals, one line, steps, squiggles, diamonds, triangles, and hearts.
Instructions: Just cut the three cards out of each page, laminate, cut again, and place in a bin with a dry erase marker to be used again and again! You can also make multiple copies and place in an art center with scissors to help develop cutting skills.
