Community Helpers/Careers Math Centers:
These math centers can also be found in the integrated unit seen HERE
. These centers can be easily integrated into any curriculum. Each activity is aligned to the Common Core standards. These centers can be used during math centers, morning work, or even early finisher activities when teaching why rules and laws are important as well as the purpose of rules and laws in the community. They can also be used while teaching the social studies standards for describing different kinds of jobs that people do and the tools or equipment used and recognizing that people work to earn money to buy things they need or want.

-Fire Fighting Teens: teen numbers/ten frames
-Too Sick Teens: teen numbers/ten frames
-Measuring Your Boo-Boo: measuring length
-Count to 100: counting by 10s
-Post Office Addition: different ways to add to 10
-Sorting the Trash: 2d/3d shapes
-Slide, Stack, Roll?: 3d shapes
The grade level standards for each activity and center are clearly indicated on the 'I Can' sheets. There is no guessing as to what standard is being covered. These centers make it easy for the teacher to supplement their current math curriculum. The centers allow for use of manipulatives, fun and engaging practice pages, and interactive centers that are sure to keep your students wanting more!
