Community Helpers Lift-A-Flap Career Exploration Activity for Career Education

This is a fun elementary school counseling career education tool! This community helper lift-a-flap product includes over 60 community helpers (and one blank for a create-your-own)! Students have the opportunity to explore a community helper's daily tasks, work environment, education, skills/abilities, and interests. Students cut the first page along the horizontal dotted lines and glue the two pages together along the vertical column to create a lift-a-flap style book.

I use this product in a classroom guidance lesson. We go to the computer lab and students choose a community helper to explore! We use http://www.onetonline.org for exploration! This product could also be used as a take-home project or an interview activity!

Comes in color and black/white. For small groups, I print full page, but for large group classroom guidance, I print half page.
