I created this for a high school, special education setting and use pictures of actual community helpers and their tools or objects associated with them, so it is age appropriate for older students, but can also be used for students of all ages.
The students will Identify the pictures, think about how the objects are used, and determine which community helpers would use them.. A great activity for building observation & classification skills.
Six different community helpers: Chef, Farmer, Police Officer, Firefighter, Paramedic, and Teacher. There are six different objects or tools associated with each community helper. For a total of 48 different cut away real life pictures to match.
This can be used as a cut and paste independent activity, or as a hands on learning center activity that comes ready to use. A great addition to your community helpers unit.
