This unit is all you will need to target language skills with your PreK-4th grade students. This unit is a 146 pages of excellent language activities for a variety of kids on your caseload. Every activity is in both color and black and white. Having your activities in both color and black and white allows you to achieve carryover and generalization through printing homework activities.
Pages 3-33. Describing and Identifying. This activity can be implemented in many different ways. You can use these visuals with a describing game, such as Head Bandz or Jeepers Peepers. You can use the visuals to give your students multiple choice cues. You can also use the visual prompts on page 32-33 depending on your student’s needs. This activity is easy preparation, just cut and laminate.
Pages 34-48. Community Helpers -wh questions. This activity is perfect for your students who need visual supports. Each question has multiple choice picture options to help your student succeed! This activity is easy preparation, just print and laminate.
Pages 49- 65. Community Helpers Yes/No questions. Work on those tricky yes/no questions with these great visuals. Just cut and laminate the cards and you are set to go. The black and white options are perfect for homework.
Pages 66-95. Interactive Books. Cut and laminate each page of the book. Have your students answer the questions below. Your students can use the manipulative page as a visual cue.
Pages 96-125. Community Helpers Describing and Identifying. Have your students describe each community helper. Then, target expanding their describing skills by comparing and contrasting each community helper in the designated sections.
Pages 127-144. Community Helpers Association Puzzles. Cut out and laminate the the puzzle pieces. Have your students identify associations by matching the community helper with their place of work.
