Product Description
Overview: Students will choose a specific community leader to research and write a paper on. It can be someone from American history, such as a past president, a civil rights leader, or an inventor. It can also be a current community leader, such as our mayor, sheriff, or school superintendent. Students will use books, the internet, and interviews to research their leader.

This product is the instructions for picking a leader, researching, taking notes, and creating an essay with an illustration.

Grades: 3rd grade, 4th grade, 5th grade

Common Core: ELA RI.3.5, RI.4.9, RI.5.9, W.3.2, W.4.2, W.5.2
