These are conversation questions to get your Adult English as a Second Language or English as a Foreign Language students talking about community places and living situations. There are twenty-two unique questions with two different versions (44 questions total). One version is for lower level students with high-frequency words and simple phrasings. A second version has more complex question stems (including "How often do you..." and "Why do you...") for mid to high level students.
These questions are focused on living situations (apartment, house, home, cooking, family, pets) and community places (library, restaurant, store, gas station, shopping).
You can cut them into strips and place in an envelope or bowl for students to draw at random, or you can have students work through the questions and write responses after discussion.
