This book is designed to teach students to identify items that are commonly associated with different community locations and holidays. Each page contains an image of a community location (e.g. post office) and five blank boxes for students to select and match images paired with text containing commonly associated items (e.g. stamp, envelope, mailbox). This book is great for students who are learning to answer wh questions and categorize. The images make it accessible for non-readers and the text paired with images makes it appropriate for readers. To assemble the book you laminate each page, place soft velcro dots on the blank boxes and hard velcro dots on the picture card/answer choices. By laminating you'll get more bang for your buck because it can be re-used and your kiddos will benefit from repeated opportunities for mastery. Great for students with autism, cognitive impairments, visual learners, non-readers, emerging readers, special education classrooms, early childhood classrooms, and early childhood special education.
