This matching activity is great for students of all ages to become familiar with community safety signs and symbols.
To use, print 2 copies of the sheet. One sheet will be used as the base and the other sheet will be used as the cut outs. Once you laminate both sheets and use one sheet to cut out all the pictures, place Velcro dots on both the cut outs and the main base pictures.
You can modify this activity to best fit your students' needs. You can have the students view 3 pictures at a time and verbally state the name of the object to work on picture ID or state things like "which sign means watch out for the dog?" or "which sign tells you it is ok to cross the street?" Just several ideas that can help you use this activity past just simple picture matching.
