PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

Contains: PowerPoint Presentation with animation and a student printable containing 4 pages.

This folder contains an 18 slide Community Safety PowerPoint with eye catching animation that is sure to keep students engaged. The PowerPoint is accompanied by a 4 page printable that students fill in as the teacher moves through the PowerPoint slides on the Smart Board. This forces students to pay closer attention, refocus, and write important key words.

The Community Safety PowerPoint reviews the following concepts: staying alert, not going out alone when possible, letting someone know when you are leaving and coming back, how to carry your purse, backpack, wallet and money, what to do if someone is following you or bothering you, taking safe routes, getting lost, using your cell phone, and more!

The student worksheets contain exact wording from the PowerPoint in which they must find and fill in the missing words. It also contains images from the PowerPoint.

I teach older teens and young adults with disabilities. I create my own materials because I find it hard to find age appropriate materials for students who read and comprehend at a low level.
